Hello Spring
Hi everybody. Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been busy with school and other activities, therefore not having much time to update my site. It won't take as long for the next update though, I assure you of that.
Anyway, onto the update. First, I will start with the usual site changes. Later in the post, I will share some exciting news.
1)On the home page, there is a new Polaroid-like duck image and a favorite quote of mine that I've posted before (by the way, if you're not sure what T.H.D. means, it's Two Headed Duck).
2)Under 'Merch An Dice' I have put two new items. One is a commissioned sweatshirt design I did for the Israeli Scouts. The other is just a regular hat where I was trying out new materials.
3)Traveling Ducks is now under Artwork. There is a hidden surprise where that section used to be ;)
Now comes the other, more exciting, news; which some of you may already know. After Barack Obama won the election, I was commissioned by someone close to me (whose name is Wayne) to do a 'Hope Wins' canvas. This can be seen under the 'My Canvases' section. So a couple of months ago, in early March, Wayne recieved an e-mail about an Obama Art Show in Union Pier that was calling for submissions. He submited my work. Then, in early April, I got an e-mail from Jim (one of the people running it). He said they love 'Hope Wins' and were looking forward to having it in the Obama inspired art show. Wayne then dropped it off near the end of April. Here is a picture of one of the people who were helping to set up at the gallery holding up my 'Hope Wins' canvas.
Also, here is the little card they had out for the show that Wayne picked up at the gallery (the top image is the front, the bottom one is the back). It is also posted in 'The Twilight Zone' section.
I am honored to be apart of this wonderful event, especially for such a great reason behind all the artwork in our current president. He provided a sense of hope and inspiration that very few people can produce. It also has the work of many great artists, such as Shepard Fairey, the man behind the famous Obama 'HOPE' image.
